Church Send-Off

Thank you!

We know we just posted an update a couple weeks ago, so we apologize for blowing up your inbox 😉 but we thought it necessary to say thank you to all of you who have helped us purchase items from our wish list! All of our luggage has been bought and almost everything else we were hoping to have before we leave has been purchased as well. Thank you so much for your generosity! We truly are so blessed by you all!

Church Send-Off

We are also very excited to announce that our sending church, Lake Tapps Community Church, is having a commissioning and send-off for us on the 9th of June and we will be having a time of prayer between the services and a potluck after the second service. Ethnos360 representative Mike Klontz will be coming and sharing as well. This will be our last Sunday here in WA before we leave for Papua New Guinea. If you are able, we would love for you to come and be a part of our send-off! Please contact us for more details if you are interested in coming and sending us off!

House Building Account

Just recently the mission approved us for a Bush House CIP (Construction In Progress) account! This is a big deal because it allows us to start saving money in this account for the house we will be building in a village hopefully in the next 8-10 months. Anything given to this account would not be taxed because it is given directly to Ethnos360 for the purpose of building a house and this ends up saving hundreds of dollars on construction costs. If you would like to give toward our CIP account you can do so through checks or online giving to Ethnos360 with the following designation “PNG 744V98 CIP Myers“.

Our house will end up costing around 40,000 dollars. Some of the bigger items we will be needing to purchase are a solar electric system to have power in the remote jungles of PNG. This includes solar panels and lithium batteries, as well as a water purification system. This account will also help pay for transportation of materials which is very expensive as we are looking to be in a location where the only way to get in the materials would be by helicopter and the helicopter costs around 500 dollars an hour for use.

Again, we could not do this on our own and thank you all for being a part of our team and helping us to reach the unreached places of Papua New Guinea.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for safety for our 60 hour trip to Papua New Guinea on the 12th of June.
  • Pray for the final 14% of our support to be raised so we can be fully supported and able to do ministry well in PNG.
  • Pray for this next month and half with our co-workers. Pray that are able to become more united as a team as we work through our ministry strategy together.
  • Continue to pray for strength and for our hearts to be prepared for this journey that God has ahead of us.
