Laura and I are back in Missouri for our final year of School at the Missionary Training Center! The summer flew by and we are glad to be “home” in our tiny little apartment here. I never thought to I’d be calling Missouri “home” but as our Pastor in Missouri said the other day, “Home is where when you show up, they have to let you in.”

No place like home-even if it is lacking a washer, a dryer, a shower, and a dishwasher.

Our summer was busy with both of us working, me preaching at multiple churches and both of us traveling all over the world. The last week before classes started, Laura and I traveled over 10,000 miles which included driving as well as flying! It is so nice to finally be in our own place and rest after that crazy end of summer travel spree. On top of that Laura had to endure a summer long bout of nausea and sickness… Yep, she’s pregnant!! And we are so excited for how God has blessed us!

Coming February 5th!

Life on campus has picked back up almost as if the summer never happened and things are returning to their normal busy schedule with class, homework, ministry and on-campus work. I was very encouraged when our lighthouse ministry team found out that there are 18 guys currently at the lighthouse and all seem open and ready to study the Bible and turn their lives over to God.

Prayer Spotlight:

  • Pray for Laura to get over her constant nausea and have the energy to be engaged in classes and not drained for the rest of the day.
  • Pray for our growth and preparation this semester as we prepare both for being future parents and future church-planters.
  • Pray for the Lord’s leading and directing as to where we should serve with Ethnos360 as church-planters. Every country has so many needs and we want to prayerfully follow where the Lord will have us.
  • Pray for wisdom in ministry at the Lighthouse as we teach and walk alongside these men who are seeking to find victory over addiction through the power of Christ.
